These would make great gifts for any nail polish girls in your life. China Glaze is always smart with their holiday marketing, always releasing a lot of gift sets. I'm curious, what set would you guys pick?!

First Look: China Glaze Happy Holiglaze Collection Part 1

I've already previewed the upcoming OPI Mariah Carey Holiday Collection (Part 1|Part 2|Part 3), but now we're going to take a look at what China Glaze has to offer with their new Happy Holiglaze collection. It features twelve brand new shades including one shade in China Glaze's exclusive Texture finish. Below you will get a closer look at the colors and their names.

    There's Wno One Like You
    Elfin' Around
    Just Be Claws

    Santa Red My List
    Put A Bow On It
    Be Merry, Be Bright
    All Wrapped Up
    Your Present Required

    So Blue Without You
    Bells Will Be Blinging
    Mingle With Kringle
    This is Tree-mendous

I might check out the glitters in this collection because China Glaze glitters are amazing. The cremes and shimmers will be a judgement call when I see them in person. I'm picky about China Glaze because of the small brush. How I wish the brush was bigger because their color selection is so amazing! Anyone else have major issues with the size of the brushes on China Glaze? Anyway, Bells Will Be Blinging, Your Present Required, and Be Merry, Be Bright look like the winners of this collection. At least in my opinion, that is. What are the winners in your opinion?

    Information Galore!

As we're approaching the end of the year with the holiday season fast approaching, I'm finding a ton of information on nail polish collections coming out. Most are holiday related collections, so I'll be posting a boatload of first look blog posts over the next several weeks. Please forgive me, but I know how much I love being informed about upcoming collections and figuring out what I want from each individual collection. I want to share all the information I find with you guys because I believe every nail polish girl should be well informed and ready to make all her collection purchases.

On the subject of holidays, who else is super excited for Halloween and Christmas?! My favorite time of year for sure!

    NTOTD: OPI La Paz-itively Hot

I'm coining a new phrase for my blog today... Nail Tale of the Day. I thought it was cute to play on the phrase "Nail of the Day" and give it a unique spin to go with my blog name. I'm hoping to do a lot more swatches in the coming weeks and months, so this little phrase will get a lot of use! The abbreviated version will be NTOTD, so when you see a blog post title with those five little letters, it's a brand new swatch for the day!

Today, we'll look at one of my favorite colors ever... OPI La Paz-itively Hot. It's a gorgeous hot pink color, which, in my opinion, is perfect all year round. I love it so much because it looks awesome with my skin tone, but honestly, I believe it would look amazing with almost all skin tones! If you don't own this color, go get it now! It's a must have for any nail polish girl!

Swatch is 2 coats in natural light.

Re-launch & Give Me Some Feedback!

    Hi fellow polish addicts,

It's Jeanette here. I hope you girls can tell that I've decided to give a great effort on making this blog work. My life has taken a change of course, so I'm looking to start up a hobby that will help me deal with everything that is going on with me privately. I knew I already had this blog, but I also knew I had been shamefully neglecting it. That prompted my decision a little over a week ago to dedicate myself to this blog as my new hobby (Can't you tell by the spamming of posts over that short time?). My hobby was already nail polish, so it seemed like the natural choice.

I've given the blog a new name because I found the old one boring and not creative. It was more like a screen name, and it will remain my screen name for other venues. Now, however, I wanted something that defined my purpose for this blog and that belongs solely to this blog. The new name is A Nail Tale. It might not be super creative, but I thought it was girly with the play on the word fairy tale, so I'm happy with it. Let me know what you guys think!

From this point forward, my goal is to do at least 2 or 3 posts a week. I think that's realistic. It's not too much for me to handle and it's not too few for you girls. My question for you, however, is what do you girls want to see in this blog? It's important to me that this blog is enjoyable for all you girls. I have no blog without the amazing readers I've already had and undoubtedly the new ones I'll hopefully gain in the new future. What are your favorite subjects to read about on nail polish blogs? Are you girls interested in swatches, nail art, etc? Please let me know in the comments!

Thanks for listening and participating on my re-launch of this blog! I hope to be a better nail polish blogger for all of you! Here's to more blogging!

    XOXO

OPI announces the launch of 18 new limited edition holiday nail lacquers inspired by recording artist and international superstar Mariah Carey. This seasonal promotion includes an assortment of red, burgundy, maroon and chocolate brown hues, along with glitter-packed gold, bronze and pearl shades.

“This holiday season is all about red, glitter and texture for nails,” adds Weiss-Fischmann. “With 18 shades, there’s a perfect hue for every occasion. The 12 crème and glitter lacquers include classic reds, champagne gold, and warm burgundies, while the six Liquid Sand shades should be worn without top coat for a matte finish in icy, frosted colors.”

Looks like a decent collection. A lot of the colors look similar to each other, however. I have a feeling if I get any, it's only going to be a few. Definitely looking forward to seeing the glitters in person! I Snow You Love Me looks like it will be an amazing glitter for layering! I'll also probably pick up All I Want For Christmas (Is OPI) just for the name alone. Always get sucked into the cutesy names!
